Claybrook Mountain Lodge - Hunting Black Bear

We neither bait bear or run them with hounds. Some of our clientele still-hunt, especially during a good mast crop year. When the bears are snuffling in the leaves, you can often hear them from quite a distance and the excitement is incomparable.

Several bears have been taken here over the years, and some really large ones are recorded for this area.
