Ruffed Grouse season is a long one in our neck of the woods, typically running from October 1 to December 31.  The hunting terrain ranges from forested area to old orchards and  grownup pastureland.  In recent years the hunting has been great for these birds.

We welcome your bird dog, but hunting without one is typically what we do--with great success.

Woodcock also have habitat in our area and offer some good sport.
